ATRENS Community Terms of Service

1. Purpose

ATRENS Community is a platform for foreigners living in Japan to share life information and support each other. These terms establish the rules for healthy community operation.

2. Registration

  • Registration requires an email address or SNS account
  • You must agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy
  • Resident status requires residence card verification
  • One account per person only

3. Prohibited Content

The following are strictly prohibited:
  • 🚫 Personal face photos — No identifiable face photos of yourself or others
  • 🚫 Religious/political promotion — No religious recruitment or political campaigning
  • 🚫 Fraudulent ads — No scams, pyramid schemes, or illegal services
  • 🚫 Adult content — No adult ads, sexual content, or dating promotions
  • 🚫 Personal attacks — No defamation, discrimination, or hate speech
  • 🚫 Spam — No repetitive posting or meaningless content
  • 🚫 Privacy violations — No sharing others' personal information
  • 🚫 Illegal activities — No promotion of illegal work, visa fraud, etc.

4. Encouraged Content

We welcome:
  • ✅ Life tips (banking, phone contracts, moving)
  • ✅ Job opportunities (legitimate postings)
  • ✅ Housing info (apartments, share houses)
  • ✅ Visa and residency experiences
  • ✅ Local events and meetups
  • ✅ Restaurant and food recommendations
  • ✅ Second-hand items (fair prices, legitimate goods)
  • ✅ Questions about life in Japan

5. Points System

  • Creating a post earns 10 points, comments earn 3 points
  • Receiving a "like" earns 1 point
  • Marketplace posts require 50 points
  • Ad posts require 100 points
  • Points can be purchased
  • Violations may result in point forfeiture

6. Reporting & Moderation

  • Report inappropriate content using the "Report" button
  • Posts with 3+ reports are automatically hidden
  • Admins review reports and take action
  • Violators receive an email warning to remove their content
  • Repeat offenders face posting restrictions or account suspension

7. Disclaimer

We are not responsible for the accuracy of user-posted content. We do not mediate or guarantee user-to-user transactions.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated as needed. Significant changes will be announced within the service.
